En primer lugar, es un honor para nosotros volver a entrevistarte. Pudimos entrevistarte hace 2 años por tu comeback con Do or Die... ¿Cómo han sido estos años? ¿Cómo crees que ha cambiado y/o evolucionado tu vida?
¡Es un honor hablar con vosotros también! ¡Estos últimos años han sido increíblemente ocupados, fructíferos y divertidos! Se ha logrado tanto, se han cumplido tantas metas y se han puesto en marcha tantas nuevas aspiraciones. Diría que, como artista, mi confianza en el escenario ha crecido sustancialmente y que mi discografía general se ha expandido bastante.
First of all, it is an honor for us to interview you again. We were able to interview you 2 years ago, for your comeback with Do or Die... How have these years been? How do you think your life has changed and/or evolved?
It’s an honor to be speaking with y’all as well! These last few years have been incredibly busy, fruitful, and fun! So much has been accomplished, so many goals have been met, and so many new aspirations have been set into motion. I’d say that, as an artist, my confidence on stage has grown substantially, and that my overall discography has expanded quite a bit.
Acabas de terminar tu gira por Estados Unidos, con un total de 8 conciertos. ¿Cómo fue la experiencia? ¿Puede contarnos alguna anécdota memorable de estas actividades en el exterior?
¡Mi gira por Estados Unidos fue un momento tan gratificante en mi carrera! Me divertí mucho en cada concierto con todos los fans. La energía estaba fuera de serie, el apoyo fue genuino e incondicional. Si bien no quiero tener favoritos, diré que Puerto Rico y Oklahoma definitivamente tienen mi corazón como las ciudades más emotivas y memorables en esta gira.
You just finished your U.S. Tour, with a total of 8 concerts. How was the experience? Can you tell us any memorable anecdotes from these activities abroad?
My US tour was such a fulfilling moment in my career! I had so much fun at every single stop with all the fans. The energy was off the charts, the support was genuine and unconditional. While I don’t want to play favorites, I will say that Puerto Rico and Oklahoma City absolutely have my heart as emotionally memorable cities on tour.

Tan pronto como terminó tu gira por los Estados Unidos has hecho tu reaparición con Girls Gone Vogue. ¿Qué mensaje quieres transmitir a todos tus fans con este nuevo trabajo?
Espero que a través de este nuevo álbum, y las cinco canciones que incluye, mis fanáticos puedan llevarse una nueva confianza y amor por uno mismo.
As soon as you finished your U.S tour, you made your comeback with Girls Gone Vogue. What message do you want to transmit to all your fans with this new work?
I hope that through this new album, and the five songs that includes, that my fans can take away a new, found confidence and a love for oneself.
¿Qué hace que 'Back in Vogue', tu nueva canción, sea tan adictiva? ¿Por qué no podemos dejar de cantarla, bailarla y disfrutarla?
¡Estoy feliz de escuchar esto! 'Back in Vogue' es sin duda una de mis canciones principales favoritas, si no mi canción principal favorita, hasta el día de hoy. Creo que trae un hip-hop nostálgico y un sentimiento de jazz de la vieja escuela, mezclado con un toque pop moderno.
What makes Back in Vogue, your new song, so addictive? Why can't we stop singing it, dancing it and enjoying it?
I am happy to hear that~ 'Back in Vogue' is most certainly one of my favorite title tracks, if not my absolute favorite title track, to this day. I think that that info brings in a nostalgic old school hip-hop, and old school jazz feeling, mixed with a modern pop twist.
¿Ha sido difícil aprender a bailar Vogue para este trabajo? ¿Ha sido un reto para ti?
Si bien la canción principal se llama 'Back in Vogue', la coreografía no consiste en mucho vogueing, para ser honesto. Sin embargo, hay una parte destacada de la coreografía, en el primer coro, que presenta los principales elementos de moda de la coreografía, además de destacar a los miembros de Kiki House, House of Love.
Has it been difficult learning to dance Vogue for this job? Has it been a challenge for you?
While the title song is called 'Back in Vogue', the choreography doesn’t consist of much vogueing, to be honest. However, there is a highlighted portion of the choreography, in the first chorus, that features the main vogueing elements of the choreography, plus spotlighting members from the Kiki House, House of Love.
En Girls Gone Vogue has colaborado con Moonbyul de MAMAMOO para 'Star' y con Jeff Satur como compositor de 'Try Again'. ¿Cómo ha sido unirte a estos grandes artistas?
No podría estar más feliz y agradecida de haber trabajado con artistas tan maravillosos para mi álbum 'Girls Gone Vogue'. Fue un placer trabajar con estas personas tan especiales, y estoy muy agradecida de haber podido trabajar codo a codo con ellos.
In Girls Gone Vogue you have collaborated with Moonbyul from MAMAMOO for ‘Star’ and with Jeff Satur as a composer for ‘Try Again’. How has it been joining these great artists?
I could not be more happy and grateful to have worked with such wonderful artists for my ‘Girls Gone Vogue’ album. It was such a treat to work with these special people, and I’m so grateful that I got to work side-by-side with them.
Hablemos de tu increíble concepto que hemos visto evolucionar de 'Bomb' jasta 'Wonderland' o 'Back In Vogue'... ¿Cómo es el proceso creativo de estos conceptos? ¿Veremos un mundo distópico, como en 'Do or Die', en el futuro?
Las imágenes generales en mis videos musicales han evolucionado desde mi canción debut, 'Bomb'. Comenzando en el entorno distópico, cyberpunk, AI, y ahora llegando a un circo virtual multicolor y fantástico que es 'Back in Vogue'. El multiverso de AleXa tiene poco o ningún fin en la gama de imágenes y conceptos que pueden presentarse.
Let's talk about your incredible concept, which we've seen evolve from 'Bomb' to 'Wonderland' or 'Back In Vogue'... How is the creative process for these concepts? Will we see a dystopian world, like in 'Do or Die', in the future?
The overall visuals in my music videos has evolved since my debut track, 'Bomb'. Starting out in the dystopian, cyberpunk, AI setting, and now graduating to a multicolor, fantastical virtual circus that is 'Back in Vogue', the AleXa multi-verse has little to no end in the range of visuals and concepts that can be brought to the table.
2022 ha sido muy importante en tu carrera. No solo hemos disfrutado de tu nueva música, sino que te hemos visto triunfar en American Song Contest. ¿Cómo fue esta experiencia? ¿Qué desafíos y aprendizajes tuviste durante esta competencia?
Poder participar en American Song Contest fue una experiencia muy divertida. Conocí a tanta gente genial y me fui con tantos recuerdos. Estoy muy agradecida de haber trabajado con los increíbles equipos que hicieron que todo sucediera. Ganar el programa fue solo la guinda del pastel, y estoy muy agradecida de compartir la experiencia con mi equipo.
2022 has been very important in your career. We have not only enjoyed your new music but we have seen you succeed in the American Song Contest. How was this experience? What challenges and learnings did you have during this competition?
Being able to participate in American Song Contest was such a fun experience. I met so many cool people and walked away with so many memories. I’m so grateful to have worked with the incredible teams that made everything happen. Winning the show was just the icing on the cake, and I’m so grateful to share the experience with my team.
Has ganado el American Song Contest pero... ¿Has visto Eurovision alguna vez? ¿Conocías algunos artistas o canciones?
¡Por supuesto que conozco Eurovision! Así es como comenzó ABBA ~ Definitivamente estaba sintonizando Eurovision de este año, y realmente disfruté el Slo-Mo de Chanel ~
You have won the American Song Contest but... Have you ever seen Eurovision? Did you know some artists or songs?
Of course I know Eurovision! That’s how ABBA got their start ~I definitely was tuning into this year’s Eurovision, and I really enjoyed Chanel’s Slo-Mo~
¿Cuál fue su recuerdo favorito de este año y cuáles son las metas o sueños que tienen en mente como grupo para el próximo año? ¿Puedes mandar un saludo a tus fans en España y Latinoamérica?
Mi recuerdo favorito de este año probablemente haya sido mi gira. Tengo muchas ganas de recorrer otras regiones del mundo en el futuro. Estoy rezando para que el próximo año tenga una gira por Europa y América Latina. ¡Hasta entonces, esperadme! ¡Manteneros saludables, difundid amor y cuidaros!
What was your favorite memory of this year and what are the goals or dreams that you have in mind as a group for next year? Can you send a greeting to your fans n Spain and Latin America?
My favorite memory of this year has probably been my tour. I’m looking forward to touring other regions of the world in the future. I’m praying that next year I have a Europe and Latin American tour. Until then, wait for me! Stay healthy, spread love, and take care!
