En diciembre de 2020 el solista HICO ヒコ, nombre artístico de Imanishi Masahiko 今西 正彦, hacía su debut con el single Strawberry bajo la agencia Dream Passport.
Hoy en BA NA NA os presentamos una entrevista en exclusiva con HICO, el cual nos ha hablado desde planes de futuro, debut y su gran talento para el baile.

HICO ヒコ comenzó su carrera en solitario tras firmar con Dream Passport, y presentar su página web HICOLAND y su primer concept video. Y tras ello presentó su debut con el single "STRAWBERRY" junto a TOMO, miembro de ORβIT.

STRAWBERRY tiene un sonido animado ¿Cuál es el concepto que existe detrás?
STRAWBERRY es una canción que hace sentir feliz a cualquiera en cualquier momento. Al principio, no tenía planes de interpretar esta canción. Elegí este tema porque pensé que reflejaría mi propio estado de animo, como una “canción bailable" que se utilizaría para "HICO Prologue" en YouTube, pero fue después que decidí cantarla.Nunca imaginé que iba a cantar, así que fue un gran reto. Sin embargo, debido a que la canción debut se convirtió en un tema tan animado, esto hizo que fuera fácil entender la dirección en la que iba.El videoclip con solo la coreografía es una producción rebosante de mucha alegría, así que por favor, échale un vistazo también.
The song "STRAWBERRY" is a song with a lively rhythm. What was the concept behind this sound?
STRAWBERRY is a happy song that makes you feel happy no matter when you listen to it !!! At first, I have no plans to sing this song. I chose this song because I thought it would suit my mood as a "dancing song" used for "HICO Prologue" posted on YouTube, but I decided to sing it later.I never imagined that I would sing, so it was a considerable challenge. However, due to the debut song became such a happy tune, it made it easier to understand the direction I was going.DANCE M/V is a production that is full of HICO's happiness, so please check it out as well.
「STRAWBERRY」という曲は元気なリズムの曲ですが、どんなコンセプトでこのサウンドは作られたのですか？
STRAWBERRYはどなたがどんなときに聴いても楽しい気分になれるハッピーチューンになっています!!!最初はこの曲を歌う予定はなくて、YouTubeにアップされている「HICO Prologue」に使用する「踊る曲」として自分の雰囲気にあっていると思って選んだ楽曲だったのですが、それを後に歌う事になりました。自分が歌う事は最初想像していなかったので、とても大きな挑戦でしたが、デビュー曲がこのようなハッピーチューンになったことで、より自分の進む方向が分かりやすくなったのかなと思います。DANCE M/Vは、HICOが持つハッピーをたくさん詰め込んでもらった演出になっているので、ぜひそちらも見て頂きたいです。
Si hablamos de la música de HICO, ¿cómo podrías explicarla si te preguntaran?
Si habláramos de la música de HICO… es algo que me conecta con todo el mundo.Creo que la respuesta es que normalmente sea este tipo de estilo ... Antes de comenzar con este trabajo, como HICO, la música era para "bailar" y no era para "cantar". En mi interior, tenía el sentimiento de que la música era para la danza.Sin embargo, a medida que me fue gustando poco a poco a interpretar canciones, decidí cantar "STRAWBERRY", y pude asumir nuevos desafíos y producir nuevas obras. Los fans (Orihime, Orisei) pueden apreciarlo y obtener diferentes impresiones. "STRAWBERRY" es lo que me hizo darme cuenta de que la música es lo que me conecta con todos como HICO.
Speaking of HICO music, how would you explain it when someone asks about?
Speaking of HICO’s music, it's something that connects me with everyone.I think it's usually this kind of genre ... Before I started this job, as HICO, music was for "dancing" and not for "singing". Inside of me, it feels like music was to perform a dance.However, as I gradually enjoyed singing, I decided to perform "STRAWBERRY", and I was able to take on new challenges and create new works. Fans (Orihime, Orisei) can appreciate it and obtain several impressions. "STRAWBERRY" is what made me realize that music is what connects with everyone to HICO.
HICOの音楽と言えば？と聞かれたら、どのように説明しますか？そして、 音楽を通してファンと共有したい事はありますか？
HICOの音楽といえば…と言われると、「自分と皆を繋いでくれるもの」ですね。普通はこういうジャンルですという風に答えるものだと思うんですけれども…。以前このお仕事を始めるまではHICOにとって音楽は「踊るためのもの」で「歌う」ものでは無かったんです。HICOの中ではダンスを踊るために音楽があった感じなんですね。でも少しずつ歌を歌うことを好きになっていった中、『STRAWBERRY』を歌う事になって、また新しい挑戦ができて、新しい作品を生むことができました。それをファンの皆さん（織姫·織星）に観て貰えて色んな感想が頂ける。HICOにとって自分と皆さんを繋いでくれているものが音楽なんだなと実感できたのが『STRAWBERRY』なんです。
HICO es conocido por ser un coreógrafo talentoso, pero ¿qué es lo más importante para ti a la hora de hacer una coreografía?
Al hacer una coreografía, en primer lugar, ¡¡disfruto del baile con todo el cuerpo!! No obstante, soy consciente de aquello de lo que disfruta y emociona al espectador.Cuando hago una coreografía, lo que valoro más es "armonizar con la música". Preparo la letra sin duda y escucho la música con auriculares. Mientras escucho la música, me imagino bailando y creo una imagen de un baile en mi cabeza. Y cuando vuelvo a escuchar la misma canción, de nuevo en mi cabeza construyo pasos, conectando lo nuevo que me imagino con las imágenes que acababa de imaginar.Otra forma de crear pasos es mientras escucho música con la cámara delante de mi, me grabo haciendo freestyle. Sin pensar en nada mientras escucho la música, grabo el momento en el que estoy bailando con los sentimientos en la música, compruebo el video por mi mismo y lo utilizo como referencia. Lo miro objetivamente y ¿dónde está el sentimiento? Lo miro y, ¿cuál es el punto más álgido? También es útil ver esos aspectos.Haciendo cualquiera de estos métodos, después de todo la afinidad con la música sigue siendo importante.
HICO is also a talented choreographer, but what is the most important thing for you when choreographing?
When choreographing, first of all, I enjoy dancing with my whole body!! However, I am conscious of the things that are fun and exciting for the viewers.When making choreography, what I value the most is "to harmonize the music." I prepare surely the lyrics and play the music with the earphones. While I listen to the music, I imagine myself dancing and create an image of a dance in my head. And when I listened to the song again, I build moves by connecting the image I had just imagined with the part I am envisioning in that moment.Another way to make moves is, while listening to the music with the camera in front of me, I record it feeling like a freestyle. Without thinking anything while listening to music, I record the moment of being dancing with my feelings into the music, I check the video by myself, and use it as a reference. I watch it objectively and where is the feeling? I look at it and, what is the highest point? It is also useful to see those aspects.
HICOは才能がある振付師という面も持っていると思いますが、あなたにとって振付をする時に一番大切な事は何ですか。
振り付けする際は、まず自分がダンスを全身で楽しむ！！！そして見ている方が楽しんで心が踊るような事を意識して作らせて貰っています。振り付けを作るときにHICOが大切にしているのは「音楽にあっている事」です。必ず歌詞も用意して、イヤホンでその音楽を爆音で流します。音楽を聴きながら、踊っている姿を想像して踊りのイメージを頭の中で作るんです。そして、もう一度同じように曲を聴いたときに、さっき思い描いたイメージと もう一度頭に思い描いたパートと繋ぎあわせて振りを構築していきます。もうひとつの振りの作り方は、カメラを目の前において、音楽を聴きながらフリースタイルのような感じで撮影をします。音楽を聴きながら何も考えずに音楽に気持ちをのせて踊っている様子を撮って、自分で動画を確認して、それも参考にします。客観的に見て気持ちがノッているのはどこなのか？それを見て沸くポイントはどこなのか？というのを見るのにも役立ちます。どちらの作り方をするときもやはり音楽との相性を大切にしています。
¿Cómo ocurrió la idea de HICOLAND? ¿Qué posición ocupan los fans de HICOLAND?
¡La idea de HICOLAND surgió del presidente ejecutivo (CEO)!Pensaba en que estaría bien poder hacer felices también a todos mientras demuestro diferentes facetas como un parque de diversiones. Así que, cuando escuché el concepto, estaba muy emocionado de decir, "¡¡Esto es !!".Espero que HICOLAND sea un lugar donde la gente que venga pueda olvidarse de su vida diaria y ser un poco más feliz. Si se convierte en un lugar donde a las personas les hace interesarse por el baile y la música, ¡sería increíble!Ahora mismo la Web de HICO parece un parque de diversiones, pero mis sueños de colaborar realmente con un parque de atracciones y la idea de hacer algo así como un viaje de negocios a HICOLAND solamente crece. (Jajaja)
How did you come up with the idea for HICOLAND? Which position fans have in HICOLAND?
The idea of HICOLAND came up from the CEO!I was thinking I hope I could make everyone happy while I am showing various aspects like an amusement park, so when I heard the concept, I was really excited to say, "This is it !!".I hope HICOLAND will be a place where visitors can forget about their daily lives and be a little happy. If it becomes a place where people will like DANCE and music, it’ll be the best!Now HICO’s Web feels like an amusement park, but my dreams of actually collaborating with an amusement park and wanting to do something like a business trip to HICOLAND only increase. (laughs).
どのようにHICOLANDのアイディアを思い付きましたか？ファンの方はHICOLANDにおいてどんな立ち位置なのでしょうか？
HICOLANDのアイディアは事務所の社長が考えてくれました！HICOも遊園地のようにいろんな面を魅せながら皆をハッピーにできればいいなと思っていたので、コンセプトを聞いたときに「これだ！！」と、とってもワクワクしました。HICOLANDは、来る人が日常を忘れて少しハッピーになれる場所だといいなと思っています。色んな人がDANCEや音楽を好きになってくれる場所になれば最高です！いまはWeb上にある遊園地という感じですが、本当にゆくゆくは遊園地とコラボをしたり、出張HICOLANDみたいな事もやりたいな～と夢は膨らむばかりです。(笑)
En STRAWBERRY, has colaborado con TOMO, integrante de OrβIT. ¿Tienes alguna anécdota que recuerdes?
En primer lugar, ¡estaba feliz por poder cantar y bailar con TOMO por primera vez en mucho tiempo! Para mi, TOMO es como un hermano mayor, así que pude contar con él.Como siempre trabajo solo, fue muy divertido poder grabar y practicar bailando juntos. No recuerdo cuál era la razón, pero cuando estábamos practicando el baile, los dos nos reíamos todo el tiempo.
In "STRAWBERRY", you collaborated with TOMO, member of ORβIT. What kind of memories do you have?
First of all, I was happy to be able to sing and dance with TOMO for the first time in a long time!To me, TOMO is like an older brother, so It was very reliable.HICO is always working alone, so it was the most fun to be able to record and practice dancing together. I don't remember what the reason was, but when we were practicing the perform, the two of us were laughing all the time.
STRAWBERRY」では、ORβITのメンバーであるTOMOとのコラボレーションをしましたが、どんな思い出がありますか？
久しぶりにTOMOくんと一緒に歌ったり踊ったりできるという事がまず嬉しかったです！HICOにとってTOMOくんはお兄ちゃんみたいな存在なので、とても頼りになりました。HICOは、いつも一人で活動をしているのでレコーディングもダンス練習も2人でできたことが何より楽しかったです。どんな理由だったかは覚えていませんが、ダンス練習をしていた時も、とにかくずっと2人でゲラゲラ笑っていました。
Los fans de HICO se llaman Orihime y Orisei, ¿puedes explicar el significado a los fans españoles?
Yo nací el 7 de julio. Ese día se celebra una antigua festividad llamada "Tanabata" en Japón.En Japón, existe una antigua leyenda que se enseña en infantil y los personajes principales son una pareja conocida como Orihime e Hikoboshi. Los dos se casaron y vivieron en armonía, pero después de casarse, Hikoboshi solamente se divertía y no realizaba sus tareas, así que dios se enfadó y separó a Hikoboshi y Orihime en ambas orillas de la Vía Láctea. Sin embargo, en la leyenda dios permitió que los dos se reunieran solo una vez al año el 7 de julio.De esta historia, en Japón, nació la costumbre de escribir los deseos de uno mismo en una tira de papel (un papel de colores cortado verticalmente) y colgarlo en los árboles de bambú mientras se continúa rezando para que "dos personas puedan volver a encontrarse".Desde muy joven, llamé a los fans "Orihime" por el evento de mi cumpleaños y porque mi nombre es HICO, que es el mismo que tiene Hikoboshi. HICO fans are called Orihime and Orisei. Can you explain the meaning to Spanish fans?
I was born on July 7th, but there is an old event called "Tanabata" in Japan that day.In Japan, there is a long-standing legend taught in kindergarten. The main characters are a couple named Orihime and Hikoboshi. They married and lived in harmony, but after they got married, Hikoboshi was just having fun and didn't do his chores, so God got angry and separated Hikoboshi and Orihime from each other on both sides of the Milky Way. However, in this story God allowed the two of them could meet only once a year on July 7th.From this story, in Japan, there tradition of writing one's wishes on a strip of paper (vertically cut colored paper) and hanging it on bamboo tree was born while people keep praying that the "two people could meet again".From a young age, I called the fans "Orihime" because there was this event on my birthday and my name is HICO, which is the same as Hikoboshi. And thankfully, there are also male fans, so HICO gave me the name "Orise" and I call the fans "Orihime, Orisei".
HICOのファン達は織姫や織星と呼ばれていますが、スペインのファンにその意味を説明してもらえますか。
僕は7月7日生まれなのですが、日本にはその日「七夕（たなばた）」という昔からのイベントがあります。日本では幼稚園などで教わる昔からのお話があってその主人公が織姫と彦星というというカップルなんです。2人は結婚をして仲良く暮らしていたのですが、結婚した後彦星が遊んでばかりで仕事をしなかったため、神様が怒って彦星と織姫を天の川の両岸に引き離しました。しかし、神様は年に一度７月7日だけ2人が会う事を許したというお話です。このお話から、日本では「２人が再会できますように」と祈りつつ、自分の願い事を短冊（色紙を縦型に切ったもの）に書いて笹につるすという風習が生まれました。小さなころから、自分の誕生日に行われるこのイベントがあったこと、そして自分の名前も彦星と同じHICOであることから、ファンの方を「織姫」と呼んでいました。そして有難いことに男性ファンの方もいてくださるので、「織星」という呼び名をＨＩＣＯの方でつけさせてもらって、ファンの方を「織姫、織星の皆さん」と呼んでいます。
¿Qué artistas consideras tus favoritos? ¿Cuáles crees que te han inspirado?
Llevo bailando desde que era pequeño y como me gusta mucho la música, me gustan muchos artistas. Es muy difícil decidir cuál es el mejor.En mis recuerdos de infancia, el artista que me sorprendió al escuchar cuando estaba en los primeros años de la escuela primaria era MUSIQ SOULCHILD.Ya bailaba entonces, pero cuando vi el stage de mi profesor/a de baile, que utilizó la canción de “JustFriends” de MUSIQ SOULCHILD, pensé “¡es una música increíble!”, y el baile de ese momento ha quedado impreso en mi memoria, para el joven HICO.Inmediatamente le pregunté a mi profesor/a de quién era esa canción y es un artista que llevo escuchando muchos años desde entonces.La música pensaba que era para bailarla, pero desde que empecé a cantar, incluso si vuelvo a escuchar "Just Friends", la forma de respirar y cantar es increíble. Como cantante, siento que también es maravilloso. Aunque lo he estado escuchando muchas veces desde que era pequeño, pero creo que es increíble.Todavía me apetece escucharlo una vez al mes, así que lo escucho. Por favor, probad a escucharlo.
Who is your favorite artist? Who do you think was the most inspirational artist for you?
I've been dancing since I was little and I like music very much, so I like many artists. It's very difficult to decide who is the best.In my childhood memories, the artist who was shocked to hear when I was in the first years of elementary school was MUSIQ SOULCHILD.I was already dancing at that time, but it was when I saw the stage of my dance teacher. The song they use was "Just Friends" by MUSIQ SOULCHILD.“It's amazing music!” I thought, and the dance at that time was a strong memory of young HICO. Immediately I asked who the song’s artist and I was having been listening to it for many years.Music was for dancing, I used to think, but since I started singing, even if I listen to "Just Friends" again, the way to put in the breath and how to sing is overwhelming.As a singer, I feel that he’s also incredible. HICOの一番好きなアーティストは誰ですか。HICOに一番インスピレーションをしてくれたアーティストは誰だと思いますか。
幼いころからダンスをやっていたこともあり、音楽がとても好きなので、好きなアーティストさんはたくさんいます。一番を決めるのはとても難しいです。子供のころの記憶でいうと、小学校低学年の頃聴いて衝撃を受けたアーティストさんは MUSIQ SOULCHILDさんです。その頃すでにダンスをやっていたのですが、ダンスの先生の舞台を見た時に使われていた楽曲がMUSIQ SOULCHILDさんの「JustFriends」という曲で、子供心に「なんてすごい音楽なんだろう！」と思ったのと、その時のダンスがどちらも幼いHICOの記憶に焼き付いてしまって。すぐに誰の曲なのかを先生に聞いて、そこから長年にわたって聴いているアーティストさんです。踊るためのものだと思っていた音楽なのですが、自分が歌うようになってから「JustFriends」を改めて聴いてもブレスの入れ方や歌い方がすごいな～と、歌手としても素晴らしい方だと実感しています。小さい頃から何度も聴いているのに改めてすごいなと思える方です。今でも月に一度は必ず聴きたくなって、聴いています。皆さんもぜひ聴いてみてください。
Queremos que tus fans te conozcan más a fondo. ¿Tienes algún talento oculto? (Cocinar, deportes, tocar instrumentos...)
Solamente tengo el baile (jajaja)Por supuesto, me interesan muchas cosas, pero hasta hace unos años, solamente pensaba en el baile, y era en lo único que me interesaba.Recientemente, he madurado un poco, o puedo sentirme más relajado, y tengo más oportunidades de hacer cosas nuevas y cosas que no había hecho hasta ahora. Gracias a eso, siento cosas que noto como una nueva faceta de mi mismo y que mis intereses se están aumentando.Incluso viendo un espectacular video de baile, tengo curiosidad sobre cómo ha sido la grabación, y si hago esto, también ha crecido en mí imaginar lugares en los que no podía pensar en el pasado y que “¿cómo puedo transmitir bien en el videoclip las imágenes de mi cabeza?” Además, he comenzado un poco a jugar algunos juegos que no había jugado en el pasado.Todavía estoy creciendo, así que todavía no conozco mis talentos. Yo no era consciente de ello, pero una vez un profesor de baile y un profesor de pedagogía vocal me dijeron: "HICO no es razón, es sentimiento", y pensé: "¡Eso es correcto!" (Risas) Cuando se lo conté al staff, se rieron con un "¡No éramos conscientes de ello!", pero así es como se siente (risas).Ahora que estoy comenzando nuevas cosas de las que solía hacer, todavía existe la posibilidad de que surjan nuevos talentos, ¿verdad? We want Fans get to know more about HICO. Do you have any hidden talents (cooking, sports, musical instruments ...)
HICO has only dance (laughs)Of course, I have a lot of interests, but until a few years ago, I only thought about dance, and it was the only thing that I was interested.Recently, I've grown up a little, or I feel more comfortable, and I have more opportunities to do new things, or I haven't done until now. Thanks to that, I feel that I can notice a new side of me, and my interests are expanding.Even if I watch a nice dance video, I am curious about how to shoot it, and if I make this, I've been imagining places that I couldn't think of in the past and “how can I communicate the thoughts and images in my head well?”. Also, I think I've started playing a few games that I didn't play at all in the past.I'm still growing, so I still don't know my talents. I wasn't aware of it myself, but previously, a dance teacher and a vocal pedagogy teacher said, "HICO isn't logical, he's a feeling," and I thought, "That's right!" (Laughs). When I told the staff about it, "we weren’t aware of it!", they laughed at, but that's how it feels (laughs).Now that I’m starting something newer than I used to do, there's still the potential for a new talent to emerge, right? ファンにHICOのことをもっと知ってもらいたいです。何か隠れた才能はありますか （料理、スポーツ、楽器...）。
ＨＩＣＯはダンスしかないです(笑)もちろん興味がある事はたくさんありますが、数年前までは本当にダンスの事だけを考えて、すべての時間も興味が持てるものはダンスだけでした。ここ最近は少しだけ大人になったのか、気持ちに余裕ができたのか、今まであまりやらなかったことや、新しいことをやる機会が増えました。おかげで自分でも新しい一面に気づく事ができたり、興味の幅が広がっている気がします。素敵なダンス映像を見ても撮り方が気になったり、もしこれを作るなら自分の頭の中にある思いや映像をうまく伝えるにはどうしたらいいんだろう？と昔では考えつかなかったような所を想像することも増えました。あと、昔はぜんぜんやらなかったゲームを少しだけやるようになったかな。まだまだ成長中なので、まだ自分の才能もわからないですね。自分では意識していなかったんですが、以前ダンスの先生やボイトレの先生に「HICOくんは理屈じゃなくて感覚よね」と言われて「そうだったんだ！」って思った事もあります(笑)スタッフさんにその話をしたら「自覚してなかったんだ！」と笑われましたが、そんな感じなので(笑)昔よりは新しい事を始めるようになったので、まだまだこれから新しい才能が生まれる可能性はありますよね？ご期待ください(笑)
Has terminado 2020 bien con el lanzamiento de "STRAWBERRY" ¿Hay algo que quieras hacer en 2021? ¿Tienes planes para 2021?
¡Quiero hacer de 2021 un año aún más agradable que el anterior!2020 ha sido el año de inicio. Pude hacer varios preparativos y moverme poco a poco por el rango que podía, lo cual fue una muy buena experiencia.¡Espero que 2021 sea un año en el que vaya a varios lugares y me enfrente a muchos desafíos por primera vez! HICO es un artista en solitario, así que espero tener la oportunidad de colaborar con personas de diferentes géneros. Fue una gran motivación conocer a muchos profesionales en la grabación de varios trabajos el año pasado, así que espero poder estudiar y tomar muchos desafíos este año para convertirme en un HICO adulto genial.Estoy pensando en muchas cosas que quiero hacer y en cosas entretenidas, así que por favor espéralas con ganas. ¡Quiero ver a Orihime, Orisei y también a todas aquellas personas que todavía no conocen a HICO!
You have finished 2020 well with the release of "STRAWBERRY". What do you want to do in 2021? Do you have any plans for 2021?
I want to make 2021 an even more enjoyable year than last year!2020 was starting year. I was able to make various preparations and moving little by little within the range I could see, which was a very good experience.I hope 2021 will be a year where I will go to several places and take on many challenges for the first time! HICO is a solo artist, so I hope I have the opportunity to collaborate with people from different genres. It was a great motivation to meet a lot of professionals in shooting various video works last year, so I hope I could study and challenge myself a lot this year to become a cool adult HICO.I'm thinking about a lot of things that I want to do and things that are fun, so please look forward to it. I want to meet Orihime, Orisei and people who don’t know HICO yet!
「STRAWBERRY」を発売して、2020年を気持ちよく終えたかと思いますが、2021年には何をしたいですか？2021年に何か計画がありますか。
2021年は去年よりも更に楽しい一年にしたいです！2020年はスタートの年。色々準備をしたり、自分の見える範囲で少しずつ動きだす事が出来てとても良い経験をさせてもらいました。2021年は色々な所に行って、初めての挑戦をたくさんする年になればいいなと思っています！HICOはソロなので、色んなジャンルの方とコラボしたりできる機会があればいいな～と思います。昨年も色んな映像作品の撮影で沢山のプロフェッショナルな方にお会いしたことがとても良い刺激になったので、かっこいい大人のHICOになるために今年もたくさん挑戦して勉強ができればいいなと思っています。HICOがしたい事や楽しい事もたくさん考えているので、楽しみにしていてください。早く織姫、織星の皆さんや、まだHICOを知らない人たちにももっと出会いたいです！
