En el año 2021 empieza con fuerza y con el nacimiento de THE FAKER CLUB 더훼이커클럽, bajo este gran proyecto que une música, moda o vídeo, hemos podido descubrir las nuevas etapas profesionales de from20 y HELLO GLOOM. A ambos artistas ya los conocíamos anteriormente, ya que son Raehwan, del grupo BIGSTAR, y Ungjae, de IMFACT.
Ambos artistas han demostrado sus inagotables talentos bajo este nuevo proyecto. Por un lado from20 no ha parado de publicar trabajos como 친구들은 하나 둘 담배를 피우기 시작해 (Cigarettes&You), RADIO (Will sing our song), 월 WEOL o su último trabajo Bad Revenge. Mientras tanto que HELLO GLOOM ha publicado grandes trabajos como TV STAR, Because I Was Young Boy o Dancing In The Dark, su último trabajo.

from20 y HELLO GLOOM son artistas que hemos estado siguiendo durante mucho tiempo y nos encanta verlos juntos siguiendo sus sueños y su carrera en THE FAKER CLUB. ¿Cómo ha sido este nuevo comienzo? ¿Cómo nació THE FAKER CLUB?
HELLO GLOOM: Siempre tuvimos muchas cosas que queríamos hacer. Y si tuviera que empezar algo nuevo, realmente quería hacerlo con from20. Ambos teníamos muchas cosas que queríamos hacer, pero por las circunstancias no pudimos. Incluso dijimos que alguna situación nos hacía sentir como si fuéramos 'mentirosos'. Entonces decidimos emprender algo y así nació THE FAKER CLUB. Por lo que si nosotros dos, que enfrentamos la realidad y corrimos hacia nuestros sueños, pudiéramos convertirnos en una fuente de esperanza para los demás, sería genial.
from20 and HELLO GLOOM are artists we have been following for a long time and we love to see you together following your dreams and career under THE FAKER CLUB. How has this new beginning been? How was THE FAKE CLUB born?HELLO GLOOM: We always had many things we wanted to do. And if I were to start something new, I really wanted to do it with from20. We had many things we wanted to do, but due to circumstances, we couldn't. We even said that such a situation made us feel like we were 'liars'. Then we decided to start something and that's how THE FAKER CLUB was born. If the two of us, who faced reality and ran towards our dreams, could become a source of hope for others, that would be great.
Cuando nació THE FAKER CLUB fue un soplo de aire fresco ya que no se trata solo de música, sino que va mucho más allá. ¿Cómo definirías THE FAKER CLUB en una sola frase y cuáles son los objetivos que tienes bajo este proyecto como artistas?
from20: Creo que somos la "NUEVA OLA". En realidad, podría ser un poco prematuro decir eso, basándonos en nuestras actividades actuales, pero tenemos una gran visión para el futuro. Nos veo como la "NUEVA OLA" en el mercado K-POP. Nuestro objetivo es crear un nuevo tipo de etiqueta que no existe en Corea.
When THE FAKER CLUB was born it was a breath of fresh air since it is not only about music, but it goes much further. How would you define THE FAKER CLUB in a single sentence and what are the goals you have under this project as artists?from20: I think we are the "NEW WAVE." Actually, it might be a bit premature to say that, based on our current activities, but we have a big vision for the future. I see us as the NEW WAVE in the K-POP market. Our goal is to create a new type of label that doesn't exist in Korea.
¿Creéis que a través de THE FAKER CLUB os sentís más libres como artistas para poder expresaros?
HELLO GLOOM: Bueno, ser de espíritu libre a veces puede generar más preocupaciones. En el pasado, solo me enfocaba en mis propias emociones, pero en estos días me encuentro pensando más en cómo se sentirán los demás cuando escuchen mi música y cómo hacer que resuene con ellos de una manera positiva. En última instancia, somos contadores de historias y si no hay nadie que escuche nuestras historias, ¿de qué sirve? Entonces, aunque todavía hacemos música libremente, creo que también consideramos cómo será recibida desde la perspectiva del oyente.
Do you think that through THE FAKER CLUB you feel freer as artists to be able to express yourself?HELLO GLOOM: Well, being free-spirited can sometimes lead to more worries. In the past, I just focused on my own emotions, but these days I find myself thinking more about how others will feel when they hear my music and how to make it resonate with them in a positive way. Ultimately, we are storytellers and if there is no one to listen to our stories, what's the point? So while we still make music freely, I think we also consider how it will be received from the listener's perspective.
Tenéis un talento increíble, no solo interpretáis vuestras canciones sino que también os involucráis en la producción, escritura o composición. ¿Cómo son los procesos creativos de vuestro trabajo? ¿De dónde sacáis inspiración para ello?
HELLO GLOOM: En realidad, tiendo a escribir canciones todos los días. Trabajo en expresar las cosas que quiero decir y las emociones que siento a través de canciones. Entre todo esto... siento que una canción realmente buena sale al mundo. Y para el álbum from20, siempre imagino y visualizo a from20 cantando y actuando en el escenario. Si me viene a la mente una imagen, trabajo para convertir esa imagen en una canción. Siempre me doy cuenta de que esperar la inspiración no necesariamente la produce, y para expresar verdaderamente los pensamientos de uno, se necesita mucha investigación. Estudio todos los días, y por eso creo que puedo implementar buenas ideas cuando se me ocurren.
from20: Me siento obligado a escribir muchas canciones basadas en mis propias experiencias. La trilogía Revenge, que comprende "WEOL", "Chemical" y "Bad Revenge", trata sobre mis experiencias y emociones. Creo que estoy tratando de expresar mis experiencias y emociones a través de canciones.
You have an incredible talent, you not only interpret your incredible songs but you also get involved in the production, writing or composition. What are the creative processes like for your work? Where do you get inspiration for it?HELLO GLOOM: Actually, I tend to write songs every day. I work on expressing the things I want to say and the emotions I feel through songs. Among them, I feel like one really good song comes out into the world. And for the from20 album, I always imagine and visualize from20 singing and performing on stage. If an image comes to mind, I work on turning that image into a song. I always realize that waiting for inspiration doesn't necessarily bring it about, and to truly express one's thoughts, a lot of research is necessary. I study every day, and that's why I think I can implement good ideas when they come to me.from20: I feel compelled to write a lot of songs based on my own experiences. The Revenge trilogy, comprising "WEOL", "Chemical" and "Bad Revenge", is about my experiences and emotions. I think I'm trying to express my experiences and emotions through songs.
Sabemos que habéis escrito y trabajado en canciones para otros artistas, incluso os ayudasteis mutuamente. ¿Cómo ha sido este proceso y con qué artistas os gustaría componer canciones o trabajar?
HELLO GLOOM: El proceso de trabajar en el álbum de from20 es muy emocionante y gratificante. Aunque hay momentos en los que lucho y me siento abrumado por la cantidad de pensamiento que se dedica a cada canción, escribir y colaborar con un artista tan talentoso me da mucha alegría. Personalmente, me encantaría colaborar con muchos artistas diferentes y trabajar con ellos en la creación de nueva música. Mientras trabajaba en el álbum from20, me sentí inspirado por él y me ayudó a crear canciones que nunca pensé que podría hacer. Por eso quiero trabajar con muchos artistas diferentes en el futuro. Recientemente, me ha gustado mucho Moon Jong-up y B.I, así que me encantaría colaborar con ellos.
from20: Me gusta específicamente el estilo de HELLO GLOOM y él escribe muchas canciones para mí. We know that you have written and worked on songs for other artists, you even helped each other. How has this process been and which artists would you like to compose songs or work with?HELLO GLOOM: The process of working on from20’s album is so exciting and fulfilling. Although there are times when I struggle and feel overwhelmed by the amount of thought that goes into each song, writing and collaborating with such a talented artist brings me so much joy. Personally, I would love to collaborate with many different artists and work with them on creating new music. While working on the from20 album, I felt inspired by him and he helped me create songs that I never thought I could make. That's why I want to work with many different artists in the future. Recently, I have been really into Moon Jong-up and B.I, so I would love to collaborate with them.from20: I specifically like HELLO GLOOM's style and he writes a lot of songs for me. I think this collaboration helps me reach perfection when it comes to my music, since he has strong points that I lack. I really like Sunmi's music. I think that our styles overlap to a certain degree. It would be an honor to work on music together.
En Japón estáis teniendo un gran éxito promocionando juntos, habéis hecho conciertos e incluso habéis lanzado el álbum 'READY 4 THE HIGHWAY'. ¿Cómo van estos proyectos en el exterior?
from20: Afortunadamente, estamos recibiendo mucho amor en Japón, por lo que incluso estamos planeando lanzar un álbum en Japón. Se siente realmente emocionante y agradable.

Since you are working on projects together... Is there any chance that from20 and HELLO GLOOM will release a feat in the future? Have you thought about such a project?HELLO GLOOM: If an artist we really like or an artist who likes us suggests something, we always feel like our hearts are open. We want to take on various challenges.
HELLO GLOOM, “Dancing In The Dark” nos cautivó absolutamente. Tu mensaje ha llegado con mucha fuerza que nos hizo sentir como libros para disfrutar. ¿Puedes contarnos más sobre el mensaje detrás de esta canción? ¿Cómo fue trabajar en el video musical con Kyam, Nana, RingRing y Dooly?
HELLO GLOOM: "Dancing In The Dark" es una canción que me retrata bailando solo en la oscuridad, pero también contiene mi deseo de disfrutar y amar incluso mi interior melancólico y oscuro. Trabajé en esta canción con la esperanza de que muchas personas la bailaran, ya sea que se sintieran felices o estuvieran pasando por momentos difíciles. Creo que esta canción representa perfectamente el color de HELLO GLOOM.
Kyam, NANA, RINGRING y DOOLY son los artistas más profesionales que he conocido. Estaba tan feliz y extasiado de poder trabajar con drag queens tan geniales y hermosas.

Can you tell us more about the message behind this song? What was it like working on the music video with Kyam, Nana, RingRing and Dooly?HELLO GLOOM: "Dancing In The Dark" is a song that portrays me dancing alone in the darkness, but it also contains my desire to enjoy and love even my melancholic and dark inner self. I worked on this song while hoping that many people would dance to it, whether they are feeling happy or going through tough times. I think this song perfectly represents the color of HELLO GLOOM.Kyam, NANA, RINGRING, and DOOLY are the most professional artists I've ever met. I was so happy and ecstatic to be able to work with such cool and beautiful drag queens.
from20: During the process of planning the music video, we communicated with HELLO GLOOM about his intentions for the song, and immediately thought of working with drag queens. I felt that they were the ones who could express the direction and color that the artist wanted to convey more strongly than anyone else. On set, they were more professional than anyone else and led the atmosphere, so I was impressed. I want to continue doing fun projects like this in the future.
