1NB 원앤비 debutaba en noviembre de 2017 y lo hacían bajo el sello Tribus Entertainment, agencia dedicada principalmente a productos audiovisuales, por lo que son su primer grupo de música. En BA NA NA hemos podido hablar con ellas en una entrevista en exclusiva, y nos han contado cosas muy interesantes. ¿Quieres saber cómo son las chicas de 1NB?
Formado por cinco integrantes -Hajung, Sojung, Lee Da, Jayeon y Shinhye– se presentaban en la escena musical con Where U At (쉽지 않아) y un terrorífico concepto que nos dejaba con la boca abierta. Previamente, habían publicado dos singles, Stalker y A Gloomy Spring (우울한가 봄), con los que ya demostraban sus ganas de llegar con fuerza y sorprender a sus fans.

¿Cuál es el significado del nombre del grupo? ¿Por qué 1NB?
What is the meaning of your name as band? Why 1NB?
1NB tiene dos significados. El primero es One New Best, que significa que queremos convertirnos en una nueva unidad mejor. El segundo significado es One aNd Beautiful, un grupo que está unido y es hermoso. Como el nombre de nuestro grupo, deseamos ser el mejor en el mundo del pop y en otras actividades de entretenimiento mostrando nuestros colores únicos.
1NB has two meanings. The first is One New Best, which means that we want to become a new, better unit. The second meaning is One aNd Beautiful, a group that is united and beautiful. As the name of our group, we want to be the best in the pop world and in other entertainment activities by showing our unique colors.
Sois el primer grupo de vuestra compañía, Tribus Entertainment, ¿cómo os sentís respecto a eso?
You are the first group of your company, Tribus Entertainment, how do you feel about it?
¡Déjanos decirte algo bueno! Cada vez que hacemos algo, sentimos que estamos creciendo junto con nuestra compañía. Nuestra compañía es como una familia. En otras compañías, si hay un artista sénior, tienen que enseñar a sus juniors como hacerlo. Esperamos que 1NB llegen a ser exitosas y un artista a seguir en la compañía, y que llegue el día en que podamos ser un buen apoyo para otros grupos.
Let us tell you something good! Every time we do something, we feel that we are growing together with our company. Our company is like a family. In other companies, if there is a senior artist, they have to teach their juniors how to do it. We hope that 1NB will become successful and an artist to follow in the company, and that the day will come when we can be good support for other groups.

¿Cómo definiríais vuestro estilo? ¿Qué mensaje queréis transmitir a vuestros fans con él?
How would you define your style and what message do you want to send to your fans?
Cuando la gente ve nuestro MV y escucha nuestras canciones, se da cuenta de que tenemos un concepto terrorífico bastante fuerte. Por eso creemos que la gente está interesada. En realidad, tratamos de expresar nuestro lado soñador y sexy en el escenario; y fuera del escenario queremos que nos vean como a una vecina, una amiga o una hermana. La verdadera naturaleza de las integrantes de 1NB es amistosa y juguetona. Y queremos comunicarnos con los fans de más y más sitios. Nos gustaría que pronto llegue el día en el que nos podamos comunicar cada vez más tanto con nuestros fans de Corea como con los del extranjero. ¡Y estamos muy agradecidas por todo el interés recibido!
When people see our MV and listen to our songs, they realize that we have a very strong terrifying concept. That's why we believe that people are interested. Actually, we try to express our dreamy and sexy side on stage; and offstage we want to be seen as a neighbor, a friend or a sister. The true nature of the members of 1NB is friendly and playful. La canción debut no fue fácil. Nos ha dado a conocer como 1NB, pero queremos llegar a asegurarnos de que nuestros colores sean firmes para el próximo álbum. Estamos preparándonos de manera activa, así que esperadlo con ganas.

LEEDA, HAJUNG Y SOJUNG
¿Desde cuándo tenéis interés en la música? ¿Os ha costado mucho conseguir vuestro sueño?
Since when are you interested in music? Has it been a long way to make real this dream?
Ha Jung y Shin Hye: Nosotras nos especializamos en danza, las dos nos acostumbraron a la música y al baile, y para conseguir una oportunidad elegimos el camino de convertirnos en cantantes.
Ja Yeon: Desde que era niña me gusta cantar y cuando crecí mantuve mi sueño de convertirme en cantante. Además, después de aparecer en Produce 101 y aprender mucho, tuve la oportunidad de unirme a 1NB.
Lee Da y So Jung: Nosotras estuvimos en un club de baile en el colegio. Después hicimos las audiciones y pudimos formar parte de 1NB.
Ha Jung and Shin Hye: We specialized in dance, we were both used to music and dance, and to get an opportunity we chose becoming singers.
Ja Yeon: Since I was a kid I like to sing and when I grew up I kept my dream of becoming a singer. Also, after appearing in Produce 101 and learning a lot, I had the opportunity to join 1NB.
Lee Da and So Jung: We were in a dance club at school. Then we auditioned and we could be part of 1NB.
¿Qué artista es el modelo a seguir de 1NB? Individualmente, ¿hay algún artista coreano o internacional al que admiréis?
Which artist is the model to follow of 1NB? And individually, do you have any korean or international artist that you respect and follow?
Nuestro modelo a seguir dentro de los grupos de K-Pop es SISTAR. La posición y el encanto de cada miembro es claro y queremos como ellas: tener versatilidad tanto en canto, baile, actuación... También, estos días, BTS ha tenido mucha actividad en el extranjero y están elevando el estatus del K-Pop. Realmente los respetamos mucho.
Shin Hye: Hyorin de SISTAR, por su voz. La fuerza abrumadora que tiene sobre el escenario cuando baila y canta es el sueño de cualquier cantante.
Ja Yeon: Gain de Brown Eyed Girls, por sus alucinantes actuaciones llenas de color bien definido de escenario en escenario.
Ha Jung: IU, me encanta ver tanto poder en un cuerpo tan pequeño.
Lee Da: Krystal de F(x), me parece increíble su profesionalidad tanto dentro como fuera del escenario.

Our role model within the K-Pop groups is SISTAR. The position and charm of each member is clear and we want them like: to have versatility in singing, dancing, acting ... Also, these days, BTS has had a lot of activity abroad and they are raising the status of K-Pop. We really respect them a lot.
Shin Hye: Hyorin from SISTAR, because of her voice. The overwhelming force she has on the stage when she dances and sings is the dream of any singer.
Ja Yeon: Gain from Brown Eyed Girls, because of their amazing performances full of color well defined from stage to stage.
Ha Jung: IU, I love seeing so much power in such a small body.
Lee Da: Krystal of F (x), I find her professionalism incredible both on and off stage.

¿Qué es lo que más os gusta de vuestro single debut, Where U at? ¿Cómo lo describiríais y qué significado tiene para vosotras?
What do you like most about your debut single, Where U at? How would you describe it and what meaning do you think it has for you?
Practicamos mucho la coreografía. Desde la Intro empezamos tumbadas o sentadas y tenemos que prestar mucha atención a cada detalle. Al ser una coreografía que no es nada fácil, tuvimos que ponerle mucho empeño.
No ha sido nada fácil, es nuestra canción debut oficial y es una canción que hemos practicamos las cinco con mucho esfuerzo y sudor. También contiene nuestras ganas de debutar. Es una canción que nos ha dejado muchos recuerdos mientras nos preparábamos para el debut.
We practice choreography a lot. From the Intro we started lying or sitting and we have to pay close attention to every detail. As it is a difficult choreography, we had to put a lot of effort into it.
It has not been easy, it is our official debut song and it is a song that we have practiced all five with a lot of effort and sweat. It also contains our desire to debut. It is a song that has left us many memories as we prepared for the debut.
Nos dejasteis con la boca abierta con el videoclip de vuestro debut. ¿Cómo fue el proceso de elegir el concepto y grabar el MV? ¿Participasteis en la toma de decisiones?
You left us impressed with the MV of your debut. How was the process of choosing the concept and recording the MV? Do you participate in decision making?
Estamos muy felices de que después de ver nuestro MV lo halláis apreciado. La verdad es que fue el primer MV en el que se veía nuestras caras. Nuestro álbum ha sido clasificado para mayores de 19 años y el MV es una historia de terror por lo que estábamos un poco preocupadas. Sin embargo, muchas personas dicen que es un color único porque no es fácil para otros grupos de chicas hacerlo.
Fue el concepto que la compañía decidió, pero ahora sentimos nos gusta y lo sentimos como si fuera nuestro.
We are very happy that after seeing our MV you appreciated it. The truth is that it was the first MV in which he saw our faces. Our album has been rated for over 19 years and the MV is a horror story so we were a little worried. However, many people say that it is a unique color because it is not easy for other groups of girls to do it.
It was the concept that the company decided, but now we like it and we feel like it were ours.
Tribus Entertainment es una empresa que se dedica al cine. ¿Creéis que este hecho ha influido en que vuestro videoclip haya tenido tanto impacto?

El MV de nuestra canción Stalker fue rodado en un formato de drama. Estamos muy agradecidas por la presencia de los actores en persona. Antes de nuestro debut la presentación de un formato como este no fue fácil, así que creemos que es el resultado de lo que hizo nuestra empresa con dedicación y sudor.
The music video of our song, Stalker, was released in a drama format. We were so grateful for the actors who appeared. It is not easy to release a music drama with the promotion of the debut promotion, but we think that it is the result made by the enthusiasm and the sweat of our company.
Os conocimos con Starlker y A Gloomy Spring, ambas con un concepto totalmente diferente, igual que Where U ar y Winter again. ¿Vais a seguir sorprendiéndonos con estos cambios de concepto?

Queremos ser un grupo que cambie y se desarrolle cada vez más en cada concepto. Nos gustaría que esperéis con ganas nuestro próximo álbum.

¿Hay algún género musical que os gustaría hacer en el future?

Canciones que no te canses nunca de escuchar por muchos años que pasen. Queremos hacer música que tenga recuerdos. 1NB ha hecho este tipo de música; música que recuerdes.

¿Tenéis algún talento oculto? Por ejemplo, ¿tocáis algún instrumento?

Ha Jung y Shin Hye se licenciaron en baile y eso nos ayuda a mejorar nuestras presentaciones. Esperamos poder llegar a mostrárselas. Otros miembros quieren mostrar su capacidad en composición, letras y rap.

¿Qué sentís al saber que hay tantos fans internacionales que siguen vuestra música?

Estamos muy felices de recibir mucho apoyo de parte de nuestros fans del extranjero. Tenemos muchos propósitos por los que trabajar más duro y queremos encontrarnos con ellos lo antes posible.
We are very happy to receive a lot of support from our fans abroad. We have many purposes for which to work harder and we want to meet with them as soon as possible.
¿Os gustaría hacer un concierto en Europa? De ser así, ¿en qué países?
